Apartment.#5

Apartment #5 was
recently renovated, with linoleum removed to expose lovely
hardwood floors on the ground floor. It is a 2 story, 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment.
Originally it was a carriage house, with wide doors on both
sides of the building. Like all our apartments, it is completely furnished,
with new queen-sized beds. It has it's own washer/dryer, ample
storage capacity, high speed internet connection, 27" TV, and other
amenities.

Part of the kitchen and dining
area of the carriage house. The secretary, the piece of
furniture by the lamp, is great
for holding assorted household papers. The rug was handmade in
Iran. We recently refinished the table, and it turned out to be
yellow pine, like the floors in the entire downstairs. The living room has a 27" color TV, comfortable
chairs, another hand-made rug. The stairs lead to the master
bedroom.

The
upstairs bedroom is large, with a dormer, (left) two windows and a queen-sized
bed. There is also a half bath.

It snows in Vermont! Although our totals are significantly
less than in the mountains, we are greatly disappointed if there
is no snowcover from late December through mid- March. As a whole
the weather in Charlotte is moderate. Some people call Charlotte
the "Banana Belt of Vermont". This view shows the
carriage house on the left in 2001, after a couple of good dumps!.
The slate covered building on the right is an old ice house. The
hillside on the right is covered in flowers in the warm months,
and contains a large fountain.
