Cannabis

In 2018, Vermont law was changed to permit any adult resident or visitor, 21 years of age or older, to possess up to one ounce of marijuana for medical or recreational use. Vermont residents may also cultivate marijuana for personal consumption, however commercial sales are generally not permitted. Dispensaries are only for Vermont residents holding a current state issued medical marijuana authorization. Additionally, there are substantial penalties for driving under the influence of marijuana or providing marijuana to minors. Likewise, open and public use of marijuana is prohibited in Vermont.

While the Mt. Philo Inn does not prohibit the private use of marijuana, guests are requested to respect the shared space and atmosphere of the inn. Please be mindful of your impact on other guests.
